Energy and Sustainability
April 30 - May 2

In Sub-Saharan Africa, most countries are still developing and without reliable sustainable energy. The provision of reliable clean renewable energy is not only nature positive, but also reduces the 400 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions emitted annually by South Africa. Using success gained from previous solar projects that we supported or report on, we offer opportunity to master some fundamentals and specifics required to successfully commission solar power plants and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The adoption of Solar Power is in line with UN SDG7, since modern clean energy is becoming a cornerstone of decarbonising economies and providing daytime energy assurance. Solar power can reach where the current grid cannot reach due to the cost of transmission lines.
Target Group
SHEQ managers, facilities managers, finance managers government officials, accountants engineers, ESG specialists and auditors.
