AC charger: 3–8 hours
DC fast charger: 30–90 minutes (to 80%)

Yes, customers are responsible for supplying their own CCS2 cable adapter where required, as approved by your vehicle manufacturer.

The price you pay is determined by the time that your charging occurs at. This means that the pricing rate for your session may vary if this crosses into more than one pricing period. At sites with Time Of Use pricing, you can still use the same payment means. 

You can also contact us for a unique payment link if you are uncertain.

Yes, you can review a breakdown of the pricing on your receipt. When using the Solar Rais portal, this is emailed to you automatically. Alternatively, you can call customer support to request a receipt on 011 140 5661 or info@solarrais.co.za.

Charging session prices are set by the site host. It may also vary based on location and charger speed. Using our service, you can filter and find stations that meet your desired spend. You might even find some free ones!

Yes. Solar Rais provides professional EV charging installation for residential, commercial, and fleet applications. Contact us to learn more about installing a charger at your location.

Facilities owners and land owners where chargers are located, receive either a parking bay rental fee or a percentage of revenue from each charge.

This means high traffic locations now can unlock revenue from empty bays whilst contributing to sustainability.

Our chargers are universal and can charge all current vehicle makes and models, including Teslas, when using the adaptor Tesla provides. The DC chargers are compatible with CCS2 protocol.

You don’t need to be a Solar Rais member to use the service or activate a station. If you need to activate the station without being a member, you can activate a session as a guest user by providing an e-mail address and credit card number.

If you do not have a member account where Carbon Credits can thereby accumulate, any carbon credits due, will be counted to Solar Rais for our account to accumulate them.

You have 3 options to pay/”authenticate” at a station:

1. Using the Solar Rais website, contact us to create an account, and add credits via credit card payment or proceed as a guest.
2. Link your charge session details to your member account. Then add credits to your account via the account dashboard or Desktop portal.
3. Contact us and ask for a unique payment link.
